๐‹๐€๐”๐“๐„๐Œ,๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ–/๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’/๐Ÿ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ๐Ÿ“: Minister of Rural Development and Community Housing Eng. Mariano ASSANAMI Sabino, accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries, Livestock, Forestry, Marcos da Cruz, held a community dialogue with Eukise Village Community, Lautem Administrative Post, Lautem Municipality. The aim of this community dialogue is to disseminate information on the implementation of rural development policy at grassroots level.
In his speech, the Minister of MDRHC said that the Rural Development and Community Housing Programme has covered 150 target villages in the national territory, therefore in the future three villages in Eukise, such as Boru-batu, Vaniria, Barliu will also become targets for the implementation of the programme.
โ€œBefore I was the Minister of Agriculture here, we formed fishing groups, we shared boats, but the continuity is not there, so today I have come back to revive these groups,โ€ said the Minister.
In addition, Minister MDRHC also asked the community in these three villages to start forming groups for horticulture, fishing, livestock and others, so that when the budget is allocated to each village they can access the money to produce but must be responsible so that there can be sustainability to help your family economy.
Meanwhile, the community also took the opportunity to voice their grievances about problems such as irrigation, and fields that have been abandoned for many years have damaged the trees, leaving the community without the strength to rebuild, so they asked the government for heavy equipment to help repair the damage.
In response to these concerns, Minister MAPPF, through his community leadership, has asked the communities to submit proposals so that technical teams can analyse the irrigation systems that need to be improved.
In addition, MAPPF has heavy equipment to help with the damaged fields, but needs to communicate with the municipal director of agriculture to work together.
Participants in the community dialogue include the Minister of MDRHC, the Minister of MAPPF, the Chief of the Staff of Cabinet MDRHC , local authorities and communities.
