Mariano ASSANAMI Sabino, together with the Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Minister for Tourism and Environment, Francisco Kalbuady Lay, met with the President of the Republic (PR), Dr. Josรฉ Ramos Horta, at the Presidential Palace, in Bairru-Pitรฉ. to talk about the preparation of the Timor-Leste National Tourism Promotion Festival, In statements, the Vice Prime-Minister, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs and also President of the Organizing Committee for the National Festival, stated that today they met with the Head of State to present information on the preparation of the national festival, which will take place in the coming months.

Preparation is underway and technical teams have started to take steps to ensure the success of the event, in order to promote our tourism to the world and become a source of income for our country in the future”, said the VPM.
The event will take place in Rabilau, Administrative Post of Maubisse, Municipality of Ainaro, with activities such as the promotion of Cultural Tourism, Science and Technology, and the promotion of sports, but this will be held in Dili.
As for preparation, the technical teams have begun to observe and evaluate the location where the national festival will take place that already preparing the infrastructure, electricity, VIP rest area, among other areas that will be available.
The initial idea for the event was scheduled to take place in August, but, through the dialogue with community they suggested that it be held in September due to climate issues in the area.
The event will be financed by the President of the Republic, with an available amount of 1.5 million dollars.
