๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข,๐๐/๐๐/๐๐๐๐: The Deputy Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs, Minister of Rural Development and Community Housing Eng. Mariano ASSANAMI Sabino, expressed his congratulations to the Firefighters who celebrate their 24th Anniversary.
In this ceremony, the Deputy Prime Minister recognized the firefighters who completed 24 years of service to the nation, but asked the Minister of the Interior, Francisco Guterres, and the Secretary of State for Civil Protection, Domingos Mariano Reis, to continue to focus on the professionalization of this vital institution for the population.
“To the Minister and Secretary of State, I ask that you strengthen this institution so that it becomes even more capable of dealing with disasters that occur at sea and on land,” said the Deputy Prime Minister, in Kaikoli.
Members who are already part of this institution by vocation were asked to share the principles and mission of firefighters, which is to save lives in disaster situations and always with the sense of mission very present.
To further strengthen the Fire Brigade, it was also requested to hire new members of the next generation and offer training, to ensure its capacity in the future.
The Prime Minister, in the message to the institution, also congratulated all members of the firefighters, encouraging them to continue serving the State and the people with dedication and heart.
Participating in this ceremony were the Minister of the Interior, Francisco Guterres, the Secretary of State for Forests, Fernandinho Vieira, the Secretary of State for Toponymy Affairs and Urban Organization, Germano Santa Brites Dias, Brigadier General Joรฃo Miranda “Aluc Descartes”, the Second PNTL Commander, Commissioner Pedro Belo, the Diplomatic Corps, Members of the Fire Department from 13 municipalities including RAEOA and other guests.
