𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫, 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒𝐨𝐜𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐟𝐟𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐬, 𝐦𝐞𝐭 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐀𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐉𝐚𝐩𝐚𝐧, 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐮𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐇𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐭𝐡 𝐬𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐨𝐫 𝐢𝐧 𝐓𝐢𝐦𝐨𝐫-𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞

𝐃𝐢𝐥𝐢,𝟎𝟒/𝟎𝟒/𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒: The Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister For Social Affairs, Eng. Mariano ASSANAMI Sabino, met with Japanese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Tetsuya KIMURA, at the Government Palace to discuss development issues in the health sector, in Timor-Leste.

On this occasion, the Ambassador of Japan presented the results of the joint work between two countries, which began in 2000 until today. JICA through the government of Japan and its Embassy in Timor-Leste, has provided over 37 million dollars to Timor-Leste in various departement sector and it plans to build 4 story hospital in the national hospital in the near future as the process is on going.

Japan continues to demonstrate the commitment to supporting Timor-Leste’s development in the health sector, and the Vice Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Japanese people for their continued support of the country’s development, not only in health, but also in education, basic infrastructure, agriculture among other sectors.

At this meeting, the Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs, was accompanied by advisor Christopher Henry Samson.
