๐๐ข๐ฅ๐ข,๐๐/๐๐/๐๐๐๐: The Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister For Social Affairs, Eng. Mariano ASSANAMI Sabino, met with Japanese Ambassador to Timor-Leste, Tetsuya KIMURA, at the Government Palace to discuss development issues in the health sector, in Timor-Leste.
On this occasion, the Ambassador of Japan presented the results of the joint work between two countries, which began in 2000 until today. JICA through the government of Japan and its Embassy in Timor-Leste, has provided over 37 million dollars to Timor-Leste in various departement sector and it plans to build 4 story hospital in the national hospital in the near future as the process is on going.
Japan continues to demonstrate the commitment to supporting Timor-Leste’s development in the health sector, and the Vice Prime Minister expressed his gratitude to the Japanese people for their continued support of the country’s development, not only in health, but also in education, basic infrastructure, agriculture among other sectors.
At this meeting, the Vice Prime Minister, Coordinating Minister for Social Affairs, was accompanied by advisor Christopher Henry Samson.
